Description of current research<\/strong><\/h5>\n
I am interested in oral mucosal inflammation and the role of nerves in this process, aiming to understand the complex interplay between the immune system, oral mucosal cells, and the nervous system in the context of oral inflammation. Nerves not only transmit pain signals but also interact with immune cells to modulate inflammation. One of my key research areas is exploring how nerve-derived signals influence immune cell function during oral inflammation. I am particularly interested in neuropeptides, which are small proteins released by nerves that can have potent effects on immune cells. Another major focus of my research is understanding how inflammation affects nerve function in the oral mucosa. Chronic inflammation can lead to changes in nerve density and sensitivity, contributing to persistent pain. By studying these changes, I hope to develop new strategies for managing pain and chronic oral inflammatory conditions in patients.<\/h5>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
